Sheffield FC marks its 150th anniversary. Happy birthday and all, but who on earth did they play against?

And being first isn't necessarily the best thing. Sheffield FC play in the heights of the Unibond League Northern Premier League Division One, South, whereas there is at least one, rather more successful (the term is relative), team in the city. Sheffield Wednesday, however, started life as a cricket team. So where did it all go wrong?
